What is a Digital Certificate?

A Digital Certificate is used to identify yourself online and handle different matters with Spanish authorities digitally.

What can I use a Digital Certificate for?

It can be used for different digital authority matters, logins, notifications and administrative processes where digital identification is accepted. Exact use may vary between authorities and cases.

Do I need to be in Spain?

In SolPiso's standard setup you need to be in Spain for identification. We help with preparation and guidance, but do not issue the certificate. If that setup does not suit you, we first need to check whether an approved alternative route is available. An ordinary power of attorney does not replace FNMT's identification requirements. Documents and the receiving office must be confirmed before an alternative setup can be offered.

Can SolPiso issue the certificate?

No. SolPiso helps with preparation and guidance through the process. The certificate itself is issued by an authorised certificate issuer.
